This manual provides six training modules focused on leadership and volunteerism to promote workforce and community engagement through experiential learning. While the module progression is designed to build a comprehensive leadership program, each module can be used as a stand-alone two-hour program. Each module includes a one-page overview: module background, objectives, expected application, data collection plan, pre-training preparation and outline.
This guide describes the peace-building process with a focus on integrated concepts and culture. It highlights development of leadership skills for advocacy campaigns and factors for garnering external support. The guide also identifies concepts and types of human rights, good governance, effective project writing and training skills.
This civic education module focuses on teaching gender issues. It highlights the status of women in Libya compared with other transitional democracies and defines the basic rights that protect women internationally. Also provided are resources for women to call for equal rights and best practices for expanding access to people with disabilities.
