A group of Kuwaiti male and female family law attorneys with varying political and religious backgrounds and ideologies have been working collaboratively on a weekly newspaper articles in order to educate the public and raise awareness on women’s rights and family law issues. The first article series described each article of Kuwait's family law, and the second series is dealing with specific cases and the application of the family law in Kuwait.

This section focuses on women’s human rights in the family and the marriage contract. The Practical Part of the Women's Rights in Kuwaiti Personal Status Law and the Bahraini Shari'a Judicial Rulings documents two national campaigns on women's rights and family law launched by civil society in the State of Kuwait and the Kingdom of Bahrain. This portion also places the campaigns within the framework of the larger movement for family law reform in each country as well as advocacy strategies and lessons learned for women’s rights activists in the Gulf region and beyond.

The lesson plan includes an overview of breast cancer, statistics, common breast conditions, risk factors, signs and symptoms, early detection and treatment. It was developed with materials from the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and Johns Hopkins Medicine International.

This presentation outlines steps taken in Iraq for reform of the Iraqi NGO law.

This resource describes an inclusive democratization process in Yemen through increasing political awareness and empowerment of youth. The training guide presents a wide range of programs, exercises and workshops focusing on democratic principles. It includes five chapters: concepts of political empowerment and youth; political rights and duties; mechanisms of political empowerment; political empowerment skills; and the future of youth political empowerment.

This resource is the fifth module of the manual Making Human Rights Real: A Human Rights Education Program for Women in Morocco. The focus is on women’s right to freedom from violence and includes nine sessions: verbal violence; physical violence in the family; sexual assault; sexual harassment in the workplace; women as the target of terrorist violence; the impact of terrorism on women’s human rights; pimping women for profit; violence against sex workers; and trafficking in persons.

It also includes information on how to monitor and document incidents of wasting public money and the responsibility of official public bodies to protect public funds. The guide presents methods for reporting and following up on incidents where public money is being wasted, emphasizing the rights of the citizen.

This presentation covers interpersonal communication in a broad sense. It explains interpersonal communications in terms of messenger, message and audience, and how all three relate to each other.

This resource focuses on the Arab Charter on Human Rights. The Charter was adopted by the Council of the League of Arab States in 1994 and affirms the principles in the United Nations Charter, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the International Covenants on Human Rights and the Cairo Declaration on Human Rights in Islam.
