The focus is on women’s right to freedom from violence and includes nine sessions: verbal violence; physical violence in the family; sexual assault; sexual harassment in the workplace; women as the target of terrorist violence; the impact of terrorism on women’s human rights; pimping women for profit; violence against sex workers; and trafficking in persons.
In English and Arabic, this presentation describes the global gender gap, using several countries as examples - Bahrain, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. It also focuses on women in the workforce and challenges to accessing employment.
