The Best Practices for Supervisors Course was designed for the professional development of Algerian middle school and high school English teacher supervisors. The course consisted of two 60-hour face-to-face trainings and an interim online phase. The first session of face-to-face trainings was delivered in October 2008. The second session, online, ran in winter 2009, and the final face-to-face session was held in spring 2009.

This resource reviews the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR), a multilateral treaty adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in 1966. The ICCPR commits its parties to respect the civil and political rights of individuals, including the right to life, freedom of religion, freedom of speech, freedom of assembly, electoral rights and rights to due process and a fair trial.
