This self-paced course guides users in analyzing their country’s political environment and exploring ways in which it could affect the implementation of activism plans. It includes six lessons, focusing on the political environment, branches of government, civic freedoms and the role of civil society.

This self-paced course helps users to understand what they need to do to accomplish their goals. It presents a guide for creating a specific plan to succeed. The course covers six “building blocks” of activism: vision, goals and objectives, leadership, civic environment, message and audience, and outreach activities.

The Activism Plan Builder Template includes questions about goals and objectives, leadership, civic environment, message and audience, and outreach activies. Information about the steps is included, as well as templates for developing an activism plan.

In this self-paced course, participants learn how to use the media to communicate their messages to constituencies. Media techniques are described, including how to present messages online. Also included is information about how to organize media briefings and materials to keep the media informed of plans, events and accomplishments.
