This short brochure provides basic information for understanding what people mean when they say they are trans, highlighting the meanings behind sex, gender and gender roles. It also explains that transphobia refers to hostile behavior against individuals who identify as trans.

Critical Thinking & Community Engagement Facilitation Guide and Curriculum - 2016

Project: Regional Assistance Program (RAP)

This curriculum guide includes four modules: citizenship, critical thinking, advocacy and media messaging, and digital advocacy. A training-of-trainers agenda is included for a four-day workshop, along with detailed module descriptions, activities, applied learning and debrief notes.

This presentation gives tips for journalists on covering companies; mergers and acquisitions; privatization, government intervention and regulation; and foreign direct investment.


Peace Journalism

This presentation focuses on the media’s role and responsibility in covering conflict. It explores the definition of conflict, distinguishes between conflict and combat, and discusses characteristics of conflict related to the media. It also highlights media covering sensitive conflicts and the responsibility of print publications and onscreen programs. Additional material includes examples of news on social media sites and the importance of objectivity versus bias in news reporting.
